Football Tournament

On Friday we celebrated the end of our football coaching with a tournament. Fun was had by all!

Congratulations to Anton and Mackenzie who were selected as the players of the tournment for their skills and sportsmanship!

Visiting authors

I thought there may be several children who are fans of these authors and may like to meet them this year.


I took my sons to meet Derek Landy two years ago. They were thrilled. They thought that meeting a real author was 'cool' and we all know there's no higher praise!

Andy Griffiths- the Just Doomed tour
Best-selling Australian author Andy Griffiths will be in store at The Children's Bookshop in Kilbirnie Plaza on May 8th from 4pm to 4.30pm to meet his readers and sign books.
This event is free of charge and all of Andy's fans and readers are welcome to attend.

We did it!

This week we set ourselves the goal of each trying to make it to the Top 100 Students in NZ list, and to get our class in the Top 50 in Nz list. AS you will see below, we made it as a class to the top 50 - reaching as high as number 46!

A few children have made it to the top 100 as of 8:30 this morning. Congratulations to Caleb and Adam!

Fabulous Football

We have been having a fabulous time learning new football skills and playing with our friends this week. Our two coaches are Martin and Simon. They have had us dribbling around coaches, dancing between cones, and jumping over cones! There's been some great team work and triumphant shouts of achievement. Looks like we'll be back in the hall today, though! It's been pouring with rain!
