Using tidy numbers and place value
Our newly formed Squares maths group is learning to use tidy numbers and place value to solve multiplication problems. Look at the example below. Which strategy would you use to solve 6x25? Perhaps you would use a different strategy. Please leave a comment to let us know.

Maths
We are learning to use tidy numbers to help us solve multiplication problems. For some children it was helpful to use the counters and physically take some counters away from each set of 25.
